CLIC Sargent formerly known as Sargent Cancer Care for Children has been in the Province since 1976. The charity was initially established in memory of Sir Malcolm Sargent the famous conductor. In January 2005 Sargent Cancer Care for Children and CLIC (cancer, leukaemia in childhood) merged to become CLIC Sargent.
Here in Northern Ireland each week, two children or young people are diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia. When a child is diagnosed with cancer, their life changes dramatically and so does the lives of those around them. People are affected in many different ways - socially, emotionally and psychologically. CLIC Sargent Northern Ireland are there from the day of diagnosis, through treatment and beyond. We offer all round care and support province wide. That’s because we’re there… caring every step of the way: We do this through our Youth Programme, Play Specialist Programme, home from home accommodation and support from Care Professionals at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children and Belfast City Hospitals.

Established in 2002, Depaul Ireland is a fresh, dynamic cross boarder charity working in Dublin, Belfast and Dungannon. Depaul offers homeless and disadvantaged people the opportunity to fulfil their potential and move forward towards an independent, positive future.
At Depaul a commitment to working with the most marginalised is central to what we do and are therefore committed to working with those within the homeless population that others struggle to work with – street drinkers, women leaving prison, families who others have given up on, those with behavioural, self-harm and addiction problems.
We provide services which are innovative and the first of their kind. The main focus of our work is to provide both crisis and longer term accommodation and support for homeless people with acute needs.

Diabetes UK Northern Ireland is the leading charity in the UK providing information and support to the 66,000 people living with diabetes in Northern Ireland. There is a further estimated 12,500 people living with diabetes but are still undiagnosed. It is vital that we reach these people as the condition can lead to serious complications such as stroke, heart disease, blindness, limb amputation and depression. Diabetes is a serious condition where the amount of glucose in your blood is too high because the pancreas does not produce any insulin, or not enough, to help glucose enter your body’s cells – or the insulin that is produced does not work properly (known as insulin resistance). Diabetes UK receives no government funding and is entirely dependent on voluntary donations. So why not get your adrenaline pumping and raise vital funds for Diabetes UK Northern Ireland at the same time and help improve the lives of people living with diabetes. For further information please visit our website www.diabetes.org.uk or contact the office on 028 9066 6646.
